I’m not an Aussie (yet) but I felt it was a highly significant day and I feel very privileged to have been here and to have witnessed it. We can’t change the past but we can ameliorate for the wrongs that were done by working together for a better future - for everyone. I can’t affect what happens next because I am disenfranchised in Australia, but I will watch with great interest.
