The French Perfumer - launched!

'The French Perfumer' went into shops at the beginning of March and last weekend was the official launch.

Amazingly, after two weeks of practically non-stop rain, the day dawned blue. Late afternoon sun poured into the cafe and we all felt very blessed.  Everyone wore their best (even a couple of tiaras!) and we enjoyed French rosé compliments of @thedrinkhive and delicious food by @caferacermonavale

It's very easy to overlook this aspect in the life of a book. It needs to be organised and funded by the author and it can seem all too hard and costly. But, although the isolated days and weeks in the writing of a novel are redeemed by its publication, it's absolutely wonderful to share that journey and celebrate with friends and family who are truly excited for you. Loved every minute!
