Very excited to announce the upcoming release (12 April 2023) of my new novel The Tea Ladies which is a fun (and funny) murder mystery set in 1965 in Sydney’s Surry Hills rag-trade district. It's about three tea ladies who get together to solve a crime.

I was a bit nervous about being featured in The Guardian for their regular feature Never Too Late about older people doing stuff but my reservations were overridden by my enthusiasm for the topic.

My new novel was released by Penguin Random House on May 4th and since then life has been a whirlwind of publicity.

Where to begin to explain the last year? It’s a garbled tale of singing on balconies, baking sourdough and fighting over toilet rolls — culminating in a tattooed shaman in buffalo horns occupying the US senate.

It’s been a busy few months getting out with ‘Sixty Summers’ and talking to lots of readers.

I followed my own path to guide these characters on their later-in-life journey of self-discovery.

When the writing is going well, with few interruptions, there's nothing more blissful than being lost in your story.
